Pune: Indian company Bharat Forge Limited‘s Aerospace Business Division today said it has becoming the first organisation to successfully achieve the Nadcap accreditation for metallic materials manufacturing in the country.

With this, Bharat Forge has raised the bar for quality standards for its products and manufacturing facility , the company said in a filing with the stock exchanges.

“The certification is a testimony for the continued commitment to quality that will pave the path for new and enhanced business opportunities with better control over the manufacturing process ensuring ‘Zero Defect‘ compliance,” it said.

“Compliance is a mindset; it is more than a goal as it requires ongoing effort. While a Nadcap® audit is a defined moment in time for which Auditees prepare in advance, actually creating and maintaining a culture of compliance within an organisation is a constant endeavor and often a thankless task,” Performance Review Institute® president and chief executive officer David Schutt said.

“Consequently, and in recognition of their hard work, I am delighted to congratulate Bharat Forge for achieving Nadcap accreditation,” Schutt said.

The aim of the Nadcap® programme is to assess process capability for compliance to industry standards and customer requirements.
